This painting of the Verrazano Narrows Bridge seen from Bensonhurst seafront was conceived just the same year as the artist had arrived in the United States. Firstly he was inspired by everything and the novelty of America was reflected in every one of his plein-air canvases. Bluish-gray colors are characteristic of this painting.
