Artwork Description:
This landscape with the birch trees was painted by the artist on the basis of an initial plein-air study conceived in his Minsk neighborhood in Belarus. Nicholaas Chiao has lived on the outskirts of Minsk, so forestry and rural landscape features were omnipresent there.
