Artwork Description:
This painting was conceived upon recognizing the idyllic rural America, seen by the artist upon arrival in the City of Great Neck, where his family stayed the first month upon their arrival to the USA. Upon arrival, Nicholaas Chiao immediately picked up the brushes and easel and this was his first plein-air painting in America, which commanded this further composition.
