Artwork Description:
This impressionist portrait of a charismatic old lady was based on the initial study conceived by the artist at the Academy of Arts in 2002-2003. The artist recognizes his academic period as very important and often regrets that it was shortened by his quick departure to America. He thinks he is supposed to stay in Belarus and seek new business in America whilst fully finishing his education and even thinking of transferring to American Art University. The Academy provided incomparable opportunities to draw and paint live models and to practice the technical aspects of paintings and provided a great community of young talented artists.
