Artwork Description:
This canvas is a composition created by Chiao during his 2nd year of studies at the Academy of Arts heavily reworked later. The flower shop near the Academy of Arts in late winter inspired this painting. The composition of it is nearly abstract, a Rothkoesque field painting despite the popular realist subject of flowers.
